Key dates

1948 : Creation of the HEITO company by Mr Pierre Heitzmann and his brother Michel Heitzmann.
Activity in the 7th district of Paris.
First French PH meter with direct reading – Main activity: Electrochemical measuring instruments.
1950 : Creation of a manufacturing plant in the 15th arrondissement of Paris.

1955 : Creation of bimetallic thermostats – Second activity
Registration of the vigitherme trademark

1958 : Michel Heitzmann leaves the company – Pierre Heitzmann is the sole owner

1980 : Death of Mr Pierre Heitzmann and takeover of the business by his son, Jean-Pierre Heitzmann.

1988 : Merger of the production plant and the commercial offices in the 15th arrondissement of Paris – Sale of the offices in the 7th arrondissement.

2015 : Sale of the electrochemical measuring instruments business to CHAUVIN ARNOUX (French leader in the field of measuring instruments) in order to devote itself fully to the development of vigithermes.

2022 : Takeover of HEITO by EOZ (French manufacturer of keyboards, components and customised solutions for quality human-machine interfaces).

2022 : Relocation of the production plant to Limoges-Fourches (77550).
